The below camera will be activated, and advice letters issued for the first 4 weeks following their listed activation date.
Highways authorities install fixed cameras where the risk of a collision is highest. They encourage people to drive within the speed limits and keep us all safer on the road.
GoSafe will process the offences captured by the camera scheme and use advice letters for the first 4 weeks once it’s active.
These letters allow GoSafe to engage first and tell people the correct speed limit, instead of using educational courses or prosecutions. An advice letter will only be offered to people who haven’t already received one in Wales.
GoSafe recognises that most people want to drive safely through their communities. However, if they were unaware of the correct speed limit, they may be regularly passing a fixed camera and unknowingly breaking the law. This could put people at risk of losing their licence.

School students from across Ceredigion gathered to participate in road safety discussions, engaging with Dyfed-Powys Police officers about the importance of responsible driving habits and awareness.
PC’s Hannah Evans, North Ceredigion Schools officer, and Leighton Daniel, of the Roads Policing Unit, attended the Rali Ceredigion Schools Experience Day, at The Pavilion in Pontrhydfendigaid on Thursday 16th April.
Over 250 pupils from across the county attended the event, with 14 other partner organisations also present, including the Road Safety Department for Ceredigion County Council and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
PC’s Evans and Daniel had excellent conversations with pupils about how to stay safe on our roads, with particular focus on laws regarding illegal car modifications and why they can be dangerous.
PC Evans said: “This event organised by Rali Ceredigion was an excellent chance for us to meet the next generation of drivers in the county, to talk all matters road safety.
“We were delighted to attend this event and have the chance to speak with dozens of pupils throughout the day. They were asking insightful questions and showed genuine desire to hear and understand our advice regarding road safety.

Police officers in North Wales stopped nearly 50 drivers as part of a continued effort to improve safety on some of the region’s busiest roads.
Officers from the Roads Crime Unit took part in Op Tramline, a national roads policing initiative which uses an unmarked heavy goods vehicle provided by National Highways. The specialist HGV unit is deployed by police forces across the UK to patrol key road networks, targeting all motorists, including commercial vehicle drivers.
The elevated position of the HGV cab gives trained officers a clear view into passing vehicles, allowing them to detect unsafe driving behaviour. Offences are captured on camera in real time and relayed to colleagues in marked and unmarked police vehicles, who then stop the drivers and deal with the offences accordingly.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council has appointed specialist contractors to carry out road improvements throughout the County. Tarmac Trading has been selected to undertake carriageway resurfacing work in the Vale for the next three years. That improves road condition, safety and lifespan by removing worn-out road layers.
Another company, Road Maintenance Services Ltd, will be responsible for surface dressing roads over the next two years. This is a technique that involves sealing the road surface against water ingress, preventing potholes and improving skid resistance.
Cllr Mark Wilson, Vale of Glamorgan Council Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood and Building Services, said: “We know from our recent budget consultation that improving the condition of roads is a top priority for our residents.
