Swansea Council is receiving reports from people saying they are being contacted by text claiming they have received a Penalty Charge Notice from the council and asking for banking details.

Please be aware that this is a scam and if you get such a message, you should not respond to it.

Swansea Council never texts people about fixed penalty notices. Fixed penalty notices issued by the council are either fixed to a vehicle or sent by letter to the registered keeper's home.
